Maintenance Requests

Move-In Procedures

Move-ins are scheduled once the full damage deposit and first month’s rent are paid and the lease is signed by all parties, tenant insurance, and final walk through and inspection is completed. Your property manager will

coordinate the move-in date and time.

Tenant Insurance Requirement

Tenant insurance is mandatory prior to moving in. Please refer to the bottom of this document for a list of approved insurance providers.

Subletting Policy

Subletting is permitted with written permission from the property manager at Cameron Apartments Inc. The subletter must be approved by management.

Notice for Move-Out

You must submit a vacating form on or before the first day of the month, with a minimum 30-day notice. Failure to comply may result in partial or full forfeiture of your damage deposit. Breaking a fixed-term lease may require payment of the remaining rent balance.

 

Key Distribution

 

Keys to your unit will be provided by Cameron Apartments Inc. on or before move-in day. You will receive a minimum of one key; additional copies are at your expense. All keys must be returned to the property manager upon move-out.

Mail Service

Upon moving in, you are responsible for obtaining new keys for your community mailbox from Canada Post to ensure security.

Lockouts

In the event of a lockout, contact the on-call person at 902-436-5614. Fees apply: $25 during regular hours (Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm) and $75 after hours or on weekends.

Damage Deposit Return

Your full damage deposit will be returned if the unit is well-maintained. Ensure the unit is thoroughly cleaned, all personal belongings are removed, and trash is disposed of properly on move-out day. Deposits are refunded via E-transfer or cheque within 15 business days, minus any outstanding rent, fees, or damages.

Breaking Your Lease Early

If you vacate the unit before the end of your tenancy agreement you may be responsible to mitigate any losses incured by Cameron Apartments. You may also be responsible to pay the remaining months of the lease agreement if the unit is not filled by Cameron Apartments. 

 

Satellite Dish Installation

Installation of satellite dishes is not permitted at properties managed by Cameron Apartments Inc.

Ensure you have tenant insurance from one of the following:
